1. I still think that this is a reaction to Episodes 1-3. Sure, we're all over them now but the excitement has been blown already. There was such a massive build-up (and, ultimately, let down) that at this point I'm not sure people care all that much any more.

I know a lot of people were disappointed with the new Indiana Jones movie and as a result they no longer have that anticipation to see where it's going next. This is the same thing.

But let's also remember that the new Star Wars is aimed towards children. I had only just been born, but can anyone tell me that they, as adults, were excited about "Caravan of Courage"?

2. I complained over and over that the new episodes were too fake, too much CGI and horrible acting and this is what George Lucas provides his audience to maintain the frachise? This characters look like they just came out of a Happy Meal box at McDonalds, lifeless and annoying. Only way Star Wars could have survived is if he stepped aside and allowed newer generations to come up with something new. Sorry, SW is dead.

3. Looking forward to it, but the timing is very poor -- should've been an early summer release.

Excited about the prospect of CGI based "episodes"; it opens up a lot of possibilities. (Think SPLINTER OF THE MIND'S EYE or SHADOW OF THE EMPIRE as film projects, for instance; I'd rather see occasional films (even direct-to-video) than a regular series; YMMV.)

5. George Lucas is screwing with an already Clone Wars saga by Gendy Tartovsky. It's awful that Lucas had to resort to this, as Gendy's version of Clone Wars will, undoubtedly, be the better version, and it's 2D animation.

7. I read the Dark Horse Clone Wars comics (well I read it trades) and I thought that the story was quite good. What I'm wondering (and why I'm looking forward to this new movie/tv series) is to see how close the follow the Dark Horse comics storyline.

I'm wondering how much of the Dark Horse series is going to be considered canon by Lucas.

So yea, I will be seeing this film.

8. This was initially the first episodes of his Cartoon Network show, correct? Perhaps he should have kept it on TV where it would have looked big instead of pushing it into movie theaters where it looks under-produced.

9. Yeah, this is the first 3 episodes of the TV show put together into an hour and a half movie. After the movie, they will have the TV show on cartoon network and TNT starting with the 4th episode.

They were just going to premiere each episode on TV, but George Lucas was like,"Woh, this is sweet! People need to see this on the big screen!" So they put the first 3 together and made a movie.

I'm just hoping they can get through this animated TV show, so that we can get to the live action TV show that is coming after this one.

10. I can only hope he is planning to make a great (maybe even dramatic) real life TV series and perhaps a new trilogy.

I really enjoyed every Star Wars episode but I don't have many expectations on this cartoon stuff.

11. The movie? Yeah, I'm excited as hell. I want to see more Star Wars, and I want to see it done in different styles, focusing on the EU.

If there's anything I'm sick of, it's the knee-jerk negativity of the anti-SW trolls who infect every thread with the same overused "JarJarsucks/doesn'tLucashaveenoughmoney/I'mtoocooltoseeCloneWars"

12. If I didn't have a six-year-old son, I'd put myself down as 'neutral' and wait to see this when it hits TV. However, I do have a son who's very jazzed to see this, and I can't help but have a bit of that wear off on me, so consider me 'somewhat excited'.

13. Its STAR WARS!! Why wouldn't I be excited. I'm going opening day. I love every all the Star Wars movies. Some more then others. But three years ago after watching Revenge of the Sith I sat in my seat thinking "this was the end". I thought I'd never get to see another one. But we're four days away from another one. We get to visit A Galaxy Far Far Away one more time. Its an adventure. Enjoy it. Don't let your feelings about the last three movies cloud your judgment.

14. not excited at all. mind you i'm not a fanboy, so i still haven't seen episodes 2 or 3. that being said, the trailer looks lame. here in australia, they have this logo on all the movies that come out for the week, it say "only at the movies" and every time the clone wars trailer has that logo on it, it just seems misplaced. the movie looks cheap, and completely unexciting. but hey, i didn't dress up for the movies, i don't own any collector items, and i haven't seen all of the movies, so maybe i have no authority on the subject. that is a possibility.

15. The previous Clone Wars cartoons were really good. And it was absolutely AWESOME when they gave us the backstory and drew to an end right at Episode III. (Their explanation of Grevious' cough was better than Lucas' original, too.)

But what's lacking this time is the movie tie-in. I was super excited -- and NOT AT ALL LET DOWN -- by Episode III, and the Clone Wars were a real treat just before the film.

Also, this is a new series in a story we already know the conclusion to. Maybe a bit more detail about *how* it happened, but then it might get into danger of contradicting Episode III (no, he was MUCH further on the Dark Side, no, really!).

This is, however, the first film that *might* beat The Dark Knight at the weekend box office game, but that I'm even skeptical of that is a sign of how this doesn't hold the magic of the *real* Star Wars movies.

16. Why does everyone hate 1-3? They weren't better than 4-6 but they were still good! Anyways i loved 1-3 and i might go to this movie but it looks too cheesy and they will probably show it on Cartoon Network soon anyways so... who knows!
